Jan Meier implements crossfeed in many of his higher end amps, and his explanation really makes sense, and I use it always when listening to headphones on my home gears. But all that depends on you other jRiver settings as well as you DAC, amp, headphones, speakers, cables, etc. For me crossfeed gives a bigger soundstage, better separation, and imaging. Crossfeed is only meant for headphones, and it is meant to give your ears the sense of listening to speakers in a listening room, because you only hear the left channel in your left ear and the right channel in your right ear.crossfeed takes some from the left channel and puts it in your right ear, and from the right channel puts it into your left ear, much the way you would hear speakers, your headphones would sound more like speakers, making the sound less fatigueing.jRiver has an excellent Parametric Equalizer, so you can EQ the low end up a litter if you think it is lacking.
